I know that this is sounding like a Science Fiction movie but let me tell you that Elon musk and his team at the neural tech startup believe that their electronic brain-computer interfaces could make this possible.

Neuralink is a type of fitbit in your skull with tiny wires. It is a small and easy to install brain-computer interface which can be used to expand the capabilities of humans and it can change the way we interact with technology.

But the goal of this company speaks to a potential problem in the future that is AI (Artificial Intelligence). Elon Musk has been very vocal about his fear of artificial intelligence, believing that once day AI could overshadow the humans.

However, Neuralink team still has a long way to go before the emergence of AI human hybrids. The tech company still has a lot of bureaucratic and technological hurdles to cross. If Musk’s companies accomplishes half of what they claim we could see the emergence of one of the most significant technologies in human history.

Neuralink is a technology that can help humans to interact with machines using their brains. The aim of this company is to further develop brain computer interfaces to the point where once can be installed in a doctor’s office.

Elon Musk claims that the device could be used to operate robots, cure paralysis, treat mental illness, can stream music, directly into the brain, and extend the range of hearing beyond normal frequencies.

In 2020 Neuralink was installed in a pig, this demo showed that the pig do all his functions normally after having one implanted and then removed. Musk has announced that Neuralink received breakthrough device designation from the FDA in july 2020.

This is a major step towards eventually mass producing Neuralink devices. May be Neuralink allow us to achieve a symbiosis with artificial intelligence.
